New Delhi: The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) on Thursday said it would continue to charge commuters toll tax for travelling on the Delhi-Noida-Direct Flyway (DND) till it receives an official communique to stop it, following orders of the Allahabad High Court.
"We have not received any official communique to stop charging the toll," said Anuj Sinha, Deputy CGM (Operations), DTC.
His reaction comes after several commuters taking DTC transport to Noida protested on having to pay the toll tax citing the Allahabad High Court judgement.
The conductors on DTC buses said they had not received orders to stop charging the toll.
On Wednesday, the Allahabad High Court scrapped the collection of toll from commuters on the DND.
