New Delhi:
Delhiites were greeted with moderate to heavy showers today morning with very high humidity levels.
"Light rains were received overnight in some areas but moderate to heavy showers lashed maximum parts in Delhi this morning," a MeT official said.
"21.6 mm rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung observatory while the reading at Palam and Lodhi Road observatories were 29.6 and 22.6 mm respectively," he added.
The minimum temperature recorded at 8:30 am was 26 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
The weatherman has predicted more rains over the weekend.
"More rains are expected towards the evening and tomorrow," the official said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be recorded at 34 and 26 degrees Celsius.
Yesterday, the mercury had settled at 35.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal.
