New Delhi: An elderly couple was murdered by suspected burglars at their residence in south east Delhi's East of Kailash area, police said today.
The couple was allegedly strangled to death when they tried to resist burglars who had entered their house late last night, police said.
It was a case of forced entry as the ground floor of the building where the elderly couple lived was found ransacked, they said.
The elderly couple's son who lives on the first floor of the building heard some commotion and rushed downstairs. He saw the bodies and raised an alarm.
A police team was rushed to the spot immediately and investigation was taken up, said police.
