New Delhi:
A 62-year-old teacher was found dead in her north Delhi flat on Tuesday, police said.
Madhu Mehra, who was living in her second floor apartment of the Delhi Administration Flats in Timarpur, was found strangled this afternoon, a police official said, adding that it seems to be a case of robbery and murder.
The incident come to light when a lab assistant, who knew the woman, informed police after he went to her flat but found the door open and the living room ransacked.
Mehra had her name was registered in the Delhi Police's roster for senior citizens.
"Evidence suggests that she was murdered on Monday. But we are investigating it from all angles," said the officer.
