After reports of continuous torture, sodomy and rape of a teenage maid in Jamia Nagar in New Delhi, her employer has been arrested. The mother and sister of the accused are still missing.
"We got a complaint about this girl working as a domestic help for two years in a house near Batla House area. She lodged a complaint against her employer, her son and her daughter-in-law of torturing her physically. The police have registered a case and have arrested guy named Nadeem who has allegedly abused her several times," said Ajay Choudhary, Additional Commissioner of Police, South-East District.
According to the police, the girl who is from Bihar, got raped for the first time by her employers' son Nadeem, 25, two years back. His mother and sister were aware of it.
Nadeem, the son of a businessman in the UAE, has been arrested and is charged with rape, causing grievous injuries, and voluntarily causing hurt. He is currently in judicial custody.
The teenager was also allegedly tortured by her employers' daughter Fardeen. During the medical examination, burn marks were found on the girl's right hand, which were allegedly made by Fardeen.
According to the police, on April 10, the teenager was beaten up badly, after which she went to the neighbours for help.
"We live on the third floor and our balconies are opposite to each other. Whenever they hit her, we could hear her scream, she would come out in the balcony. We have tried explaining to the owners several times in the past as well but they never listened. They would close the door and hit her after that. We tried telling them many times not to hit her but that day, they crossed all limits, the son tortured her a lot and she came to us and asked for help," said Zeeshan, their neighbour.
The teenager was rescued after she managed to escape from the house and begged neighbours to help.
