Fashion designer Ritu Beri said she started her profession 25 years back by designing Khadi clothes.

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) on Sunday launched an exclusive men's and women's wear collection designed by ace fashion designer Ritu Beri.
Inaugurating the collection at Khadi India Outlet at Connaught Place in New Delhi, Union minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra said that Khadi is now for each and every one.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the brand ambassador of Khadi and its sales growth has increased three folds.
Union minister of state for Home affairs Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary said PM Modi has always promoted Khadi even on his every foreign tours.

KVIC Chairman Vinai Kumar Saxena said "Khadi which has always created history is again scripting history ... internationally acclaimed fashion designer Ritu Beri is now designing trending designs in Khadi."
The collection consists of Indo-western silhouettes and reflect the Indian charm with a modern flavour.
Ms Beri tried to give Khadi a global image, to adopt it to different forms of creativity, instead of restricting it to the image of yester years, he said.
The clothes are easy to wear yet glamorous.
