New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been admitted to the AIIMS hospital in New Delhi after she complained of congestion in the chest.
Doctors at the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said her condition was stable and that "there was nothing to worry".
"Sushma Swaraj has undergone some test for her chest pain. Reports will come by tomorrow. She is stable now," said Amit Gupta, spokesperson of AIIMS.
Ms Swaraj, 64, is currently under observation by a team of multi-specialists.
She was admitted to the old private ward of Pulmonary Medicine Department of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at around 5 pm on Monday. She was shifted to the Cardio-Neuro Centre of the hospital around 10 pm, reported Press Trust of India.
Ms Swaraj has a history of acute diabetes. Doctors at AIIMS said she has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years.
Ms Swaraj is scheduled to meet Pakistan Foreign Ssecretary Aijaz Ahmed today.
