A minor fire broke out at the Transport Bhavan in the high-security area in New Delhi which houses a number of central ministries.
Officials of the Fire Department said that six fire tenders were rushed to the building to douse the fire after receiving a call at around 3:50 pm.
"The fire was reported from an air-conditioner and a computer room," the official said, adding that police were probing the incident.
