Fire breaks out in govt official's home in Delhi's Khan Market area

New Delhi: A fire broke out in the afternoon today at the residence of a central government official in Delhi's high-security Lutyens' zone.

The incident occurred at Rabindra Nagar in the well-known Khan Market area in Delhi.

According to a fire department official, nobody was at the residence when the incident occurred and no injuries were reported. The extent of damage to the premises is yet to be determined, he said.

"We received a call at around 3.30 P.M. and dispatched two fire tenders. The fire was quickly controlled," the official said, adding that the blaze may have started in the storeroom at the residence.
