Nearly 500 dwellings were gutted in a fire that broke out in a densely populated slum at Ghazipur in east Delhi.
No loss of life has been reported so far. But 2000 people have been rendered homless in the cold.
The cause of fire is still unknown.
The officials said they got a call about the fire around 3 am.
Twenty fire tenders were rushed immediately and the fore was brought in control in two hours.
