New Delhi:
A five-month-old girl named Kavita has been stolen from Safdarjung Hospital in the Capital early this morning by an unidentified "middle-aged" man, says the police.
The missing baby's father says she was sleeping with her two elder sisters in a corridor in the hospital when she disappeared.
The police says security cameras show a middle-aged man picking up Kavita while she was sleeping.
Ajan Singh, the father of the child, had brought his family to the hospital for the treatment of his six-year-old son who has breathing problems.
His wife was in the ward where their son was admitted while their daughters were sleeping in a corridor on the ground floor.
Mr Singh left the hospital at 4 am to report to work. When his daughters woke up, they realized Kavita was missing.
"It appears that a professional child stealing gang is involved in the incident," says PTI, quoting a police source.
