Foggy Morning In Delhi, Poor Visibility Causes Cancellation Of 15 Trains

Visibility was recorded at 400 meters both at 5.30 am and 8.30 am at Delhi's Safdarjung.

New Delhi: Delhi-ites today woke up to a foggy morning with poor visibility leading to cancellation of 15 trains.

According to a Met department official, visibility was recorded at 400 meters both at 5.30 am and 8.30 am at Safdarjung.

At Palam, it was 200 meters at 5.30 am which improved to 300 meters at 8.30 am.

The fog led to cancellation and rescheduling of several trains.

"82 trains are running late and another 23 trains have been rescheduled. 15 trains have been cancelled due to the fog," said a senior Railway official.

The flight operations at IGI Airport, however, remained normal, said a Delhi Airport spokesperson.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius which was two notches above normal, the Met official said.

Humidity was recorded at 98 per cent at 8.30 am.

The weatherman has predicted clear skies for the day with the maximum temperature expected to settle at 26 degrees.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.4 degrees Celsius while maximum was pegged at 26.4 degrees Celsius.
