New Delhi: Delhi's list of top 10 wanted criminals will be extended to over 20 and former independent legislator from Mundka Rambir Shokeen is one of them.

Mr Shokeen, who carries a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his arrest, was charged last year under provisions of Maharashtra's strict anti-organised crime law MCOCA for his alleged involvement in a syndicate headed by his nephew Neeraj Bawana who has been arrested.

Rambir Shokeen had won the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Mundka constituency and later joined Congress. A Delhi court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him in April last year after he went into hiding, refusing to join the investigation against Bawana.

The updated to the most wanted list or as the 'Compendium of Top Criminals in Delhi' comes less than two months of publication of the previous one.

"It was also necessary to re-publish the compendium because a few of the criminals listed in the previous one have been arrested. While the last one had a list of top 10 criminals, it shall be extended to 22-25 in the new one," a senior official said.
