Four girl students missing in east Delhi

New Delhi: Four girl students were reported missing from east Delhi after they appeared for an examination in their school, police said on Friday.

The incident was reported from Mayur Vihar Phase-I and police have filed a case of kidnapping.

The girls -- Sweta (13), Anjali (14), Kajal (13) and Bhavana (14) -- are students of Class VIII at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Pocket-4 of Mayur Vihar Phase-I.

They reside in Trilokpuri and commuted to school in rickshaw every day.

According to the complaint, the girls had left their house for school at around one pm to appear for an exam. The exam got over around 5.30 pm and all four left the campus together.

"They were seen in school uniform. At around 6 pm they were seen having food at a nearby restuarant. After that nobody has seen them. A waiter at the hotel has confirmed their presence there after showing him their photographs," a senior police official said.

Four police teams have been deputed to investigate the matter with police not ruling out a love-angle.

"We are investigating the matter. We are trying to locate them," the official said.
