Delhi:
Delhi Police's Crime Branch has busted a call girl racket in south Delhi, with the arrest of five people including a pimp. DCP Ashok Chand said all the culprits are from Uzbekistan.
The official said that they were operating out of a rented accommodation which cost them Rs 35,000 per month. They had been shifting places to avoid police action. They were being hired mostly for rave parties. All the five girls have been living in India for the past two years.
"Our head constable Amit Tomar had a tip-off that a high profile call girl racket involving foreign nationals is being run at Udai Park in south Delhi area.
The information was developed and a special team was formed to bust the gang. Police talked to the pimp and a deal was struck and a decoy was sent in," said the DCP.
The official further added that the pimp called the police official to meet at Udai Park for advance payment. The woman demanded Rs 50,000 and the decoy made the payment in full.
"The police official was then taken to the first floor of a nearby house where the girls lived. As per instructions other officials conducted a raid immediately and arrested four call girls and the woman pimp," said a senior police official.
All the five were interrogated and it came to light that they came to India on Multiple Entry Visa around two years ago and since then they have been living in the Capital.
The girls and pimp used to operate from south Delhi and would change their rented accommodation to give the cops a slip. They had been living in Udai Park area for the last six months.
