New Delhi:
A four-year-old missing boy was on Monday found murdered in a park near his home in north-west Delhi, police said.
The incident was reported from Keshavpuram and the boy has been identified as Mohammad Afridi, son of a factory worker Chand Mohammed.
The boy was found lying in a pool of blood with his throat slit in a park in Rampura. Police suspect personal enmity to be the reason behind the incident.
A senior police official said the family did not receive any ransom call and it appeared to be a case of personal enmity.
Police is waiting for the post-mortem report to ascertain whether he was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
Afridi was last seen on Sunday evening when he was playing outside his house.
"After he went missing, the family approached the police," the official said.
The victim's father alleged that the police registered his complaint on a paper and did not register an FIR. The official said the police will investigate the matter.
The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
