New Delhi: A German woman working with an NGO in Delhi was molested by a man who followed her on the metro.
The incident took place on Wednesday night last week.
The woman was returning to her home in south-east Delhi on a local train with a male companion. A 19-year-old co-passenger allegedly followed her and just as she exited the station, he molested her and then ran away. The attacker managed to flee before her male companion could react.
The police used security camera footage to identify the suspect and then combed the area in South Delhi where the attack took place to find and arrest him.
He will be chargesheeted in a special fast-track court today, where the Delhi gang-rape trial is also on.
