New Delhi: A 12-year-old girl was killed in celebratory firing by her cousin at a wedding in New Delhi, police said on Monday. The shooter is absconding.
Shivi received bullet injury around 10.45 pm on Sunday at the ceremony organised in I.P. Motel banquet situated in west Delhi's Mundka.
"The bullet pierced Shivi's heart, causing her death on the spot," said a police officer.
Her cousin, Shankar, was making celebratory firing using his uncle's pistol when one of the bullets fired by him accidentally hit the girl, added the officer.
