New Delhi: A 20-year-old girl was allegedly shot at by an engineering student with an air gun at Rajiv Nagar in Begumpur area of outer Delhi, police said today.
According to the police, the girl, identified as Pinki, escaped with minor injuries while the attacker Deepak Kumar, has been arrested.
Police said that Deepak fired pellets from his air gun from the balcony of his house and Pinki was hit while riding pillion on her father's scooter last night.
Deepak, who is a second year engineering student in a private institute in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, told police that he did not hit her intentionally and it was just testing to check if the gun was working. He was, however, arrested for causing harm to the victim.
