New Delhi:
Commuters on the busy Gurgoan Line can expect to have a much more comfortable ride with Delhi Metro on Monday introducing eight-coach trains on the corridor on the anniversary of completion of 10 years of operation.
Two eight-coach trains were inducted into services on Monday on the occasion without much fanfare as formal function to celebrate was cancelled due to protests after the gang-rape incident.
The eight-coach trains would carry 600 additional commuters than the 2,200 capacity of a six-coach train.
Gurgaon and Noida Lines are the busiest corridors in the network with over 14 lakh passengers travelling on them alone.
