New Delhi:
The national capital received heavy rain today morning and the minimum temperature recorded was 24.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
The city has received 215.6 mm of rainfall since July 1.
The Meteorological Office has forecast light rain during the course of the day and said the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
"The sky will be generally cloudy. Rain along with thunderstorms would occur in some areas," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
The humidity at 8.30 am was 95 per cent.
Saturday's maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled slightly below the season's average at 26 degrees Celsius.
