New Delhi: IIT Delhi's Department of Management Studies will soon unveil a new MBA curriculum to catch up with the world's best in business management, officials said on Saturday.
The announcement came after the Indian Institute of Technology organised a "MBA Curriculum Review Stakeholders' Consultation Workshop" in a bid to respond to the changing times and catch up with the world's best in business management education.
According to a statement issued by the premier institute, the workshop focused on developing content that relates to the interests and demands of the industry. It also aimed at obtaining inputs in specific functional areas including information technology and business analytics.
"Introducing new courses, updating the existing ones and employing different methods of classroom learning are essential for a B-school. The students will thus have a cornucopia of elective courses and learning methods to choose from," R.P. Singh, chairman, board of governors, IIT Guwahati said.
The new curriculum based MBA programme is likely to be rolled out from the academic session beginning July 2015.
