New Delhi:
A gas pipeline exploded and caught fire in south Delhi this morning during digging work for the Metro. No one has been reported injured.
A fire started after a leak in the gas pipeline in the Moti Bagh area operated by the state-owned GAIL or Gas Authority of India Limited.
"The explosion and the subsequent fire occurred when third part contractors working for Delhi Metro dug up the area," GAIL officials said.
10 fire vans are at the spot. Officials say the fire is now under control.
