New Delhi: A jawan of the Central Industrial Security Force or CISF returned a lost bag containing Rs 2.25 lakh cash to its owner, who lost it at a Delhi Metro station.
The incident happened late evening yesterday when Head Constable M Tirki noticed an unattended bag at the X-ray scanner of the Chawri Bazar metro station and he kept it safe for its owner to approach the authorities.
Delhi Metro authorities later handed over the bag to its owner, a resident of Gujaranwala town in the national capital.
In a separate case, two pick-pocketers were apprehended from Nehru Place Metro station by a CISF check squad.
A stolen mobile phone was recovered from them.
