New Delhi:
A baby, barely 5-hours-old was found abandoned in Pushp Vihar area of south Delhi on Tuesday night. The baby was discovered by three children at around 9 pm under a cooler outside a house.
Three kids - Vivek, Rajesh and Rohit - found the infant wrapped in a shirt under a cooler and approached the house owner Omesh Kumar Chauhan, who in turn informed the police around 10 pm. Police reached the spot accompanied by an ambulance.
"We were playing in the park and suddenly we heard the wails of a baby. Tracking the sound we found the infant under a cooler; there was no blood. Without wasting any moment we informed Chauhan uncle," said Vivek.
The doctors did a thorough check-up of the baby on the spot after which the police took charge. The baby was taken to AIIMS hospital to be kept under proper infant care.
