New Delhi: A man allegedly murdered his 65-year-old father in Kanjhawala area in Delhi by hitting him with a spade after he refused to give his son money to buy liquor.

35-year-old Krishan Gupta was arrested from the spot at about 11 pm on Thursday.

"Satya Prakash lived in the area along with his wife Gaytri and son Krishan, who was unemployed and alcoholic. He used to often demand money for liquor and had arguments with his father over the issue," said a police official.
