New Delhi:
A 40-year-old man hailing from Tamil Nadu was arrested in Delhi for his alleged involvement in
stealing valuables and cash from cars by diverting the attention of drivers, police said today.
Hariharan, who hails from Trichy in Tamil Nadu, was apprehended from Karol Bagh soon after he stole Rs 15,000 cash and some documents from the car of money exchange firm owner Sunil Khanna.
Khanna was told by Hariharan that the money was lying on the road and when he stepped out of his car to pick up the money, the latter's associate opened the vehicle's door and fled with the valuables.
The firm owner raised an alarm and a beat constable chased Hariharan and nabbed him.
