New Delhi: A man allegedly killed his wife and then committed suicide in New Delhi on Friday morning, police said. A suicide note was found in which he said he suspected his wife of having an extra-marital relationship.
"Shyam Kumar, 35, and his wife Jaspal Kaur, 29, were found dead in their house in Vikaspuri in west Delhi," said a police officer.
Kumar's body was hanging from a ceiling fan while his wife's body was lying on a bed. They were spotted by Kaur's sister Ruby, who went to their house after Kumar did not answer her call on his mobile phone.
Kumar dropped their two children at Ruby's house on Thursday night.
The couple's bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, police said.
Kumar was driving a battery-powered rickshaw for a year. He quit his job a month ago.
