New Delhi:
A 37-year-old man was found dead in his car with a bullet wound to his chest in south east Delhi on Monday.
A passer-by spotted the man's body in the driver's seat in his black Mahindra XUV near a hospital in the locality. Police said the car's engine and air conditioning too were on, with the music playing at full volume. The car door was found unlocked.
The man has been identified as Mohammad Afzal, a resident of nearby Jamia Nagar area.
Police is probing whether he committed suicide or if it was a murder. According to the investigators, Mr Afzal's snacks shop was demolished a few months back and he was under debt.
Police is scanning CCTV footage from the area to find out the sequence of events leading to Afzal's death.
Mr Afzal's family has ruled out the possibility of his suicide although he was upset after the shop was demolished.
His brother told police that Mr Afzal was looking for a new shop in the area and did not show any suicidal tendencies.
