Man killed in bid to end feud at wedding

New Delhi: A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death while one of his relatives suffered stab wounds when they intervened in a fight between two groups at a wedding ceremony in New Delhi, police said on Tuesday. Three people were arrested.

Ravi was killed while his relative Rajender was injured when they were attacked at a wedding ceremony organised in south Delhi's Jaitpur area on Monday night. Ravi died on way to hospital.

"Both the victims had gone to attend the marriage of one of their relatives where the accused started fighting over some petty issue. The victims tried to settle their dispute, but were stabbed. The accused fled from the spot," said the officer.

Ravi was pursuing graduation in Delhi University through correspondence course while Rajender worked as a conductor of a private vehicle.

"Vipin, Raman and Rahul were arrested late on Monday night," said a police officer.

All the accused are between the ages of 20 and 23, he said.
