A man who killed his wife because she would not give him enough money to buy liquor has been arrested, police said Wednesday.
Parvesh Tyagi murdered 35-year-old Nisha Tyagi on the night of April 2 with a pick axe at their house in Keshopur village, taking advantage of the noisy celebrations after India's World Cup victory, Additional Commissioner of Police V. Renganathan said.
He was arrested on Tuesday from Chander Vihar in west Delhi. The couple was married for 17 years and had two sons aged 15 years and 13 years.
