New Delhi: A 46-year-old man and his two relatives were arrested for allegedly murdering a teenager who was in a relationship with his daughter, police said on Monday.

Hafizur, his son-in-law Raja-ul-Haq (26) and brother-in-law Amjad (24) were apprehended last week for allegedly murdering Rohit (16) in south-west Delhi's Dwarka, A K Ojha, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West), said.

"Hafizur told police that he along with two others murdered Rohit to prevent him from dating his daughter. Both the families hail from Mahenderpur in West Bengal. Rohit and his daughter were studying in a same school in Harirampur where they had developed intimate relations.

"The deceased had been warned to stay away from the girl. The accused later brought his daughter to Pochanpur in Dwarka. Rohit also followed them and came to Delhi. On seeing him in the same village, the entire family was infuriated and they planned to kill Rohit," Ojha said.

As per the plan, he said, Rohit was called to a secluded place in Dwarka on April 19 for a party where they offered him chilled beer.

"Once Rohit got tipsy, they beat him up ruthlessly and tried to smash his face with a stone and subsequently stabbed him in his abdomen in cold blood in a planned manner. After murdering Rohit, they hurriedly buried the corpse under the ground near Radha Swami Satsang in Dwarka in order to destroy the evidence," Ojha said.
