New Delhi: A 40-year-old man set himself ablaze at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in outer Delhi last night, police said today.
"The incident took place yesterday (Sunday) night. The man, identified as Satbir Singh, resident of Mangolpuri, set himself on fire at the entrance of emergency ward of the hospital. He was taken to the ICU (intensive care unit) where his condition is stated to be critical," a police official said today.
"He has suffered 80 per cent burn injuries," official added.
"Last night, he (Satibr Singh) had an argument with his brother over a domestic dispute following which he went outside. Later, we came to know he has set himself on fire at the nearby S.G. Hospital," Mr Singh's wife told police.
