Maoists' Arms Supplier Arrested in Delhi

The maoist gun supplier had a Rs 1 lakh bounty on his head.

New Delhi: An inter-state arms supplier, who has a Rs 1 lakh bounty on his head, with links to Maoists of Jharkhand area has been arrested, the police said today.

Raj Kumar Yadav, a resident of Bihar's Samastipur district, was arrested by the Crime Branch sleuths from Dwarka area of west Delhi on Monday, a police official said.

A sophisticated pistol, along with three live cartridges, was recovered from his possession.

"He supplied hand-grenades to dreaded criminal Vikash Dagar to eliminate his rival Krishan Pahalwan through Harcharan Sardar. He also has contacts with the Left-wing extremists in Jharkhand area and claims to be their source of arms and ammunition," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.

"Investigation regarding his contacts with other gangsters and Left-wing extremist groups in Jharkhand is under progress," the officer added.
