New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a scrap godown in Delhi in Kapashera area on Saturday, a fire official said. Twelve fire tenders were rushed to the spot but the flames could not be doused till evening.
"A call was received by the fire office at 3:09 pm following which 12 fire tenders were pressed into service," a fire official told IANS.
The flames were brought under control by the evening, the official said.
The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained. There was no report of injury to anyone.
The scrap godown is spread in an over 5,000 square yard area.
