A postgraduate student was found dead in his car in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital's parking area
New Delhi:
A postgraduate student of Radiology was found dead in his car yesterday in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital's parking area with police suspecting it to be a case of suicide prima facie.
The deceased was identified as Dr Prakash P, a native of Chennai, who had joined the PG course at RML just two months back.
The incident came to light when the guards on morning duty spotted the body inside the car and informed their supervisor.
"There are no signs of injury on the body except for marks of injection on the right hand. Preliminary probe points towards suicide but things will become clear only after the post-mortem report is received.
The body has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital and autopsy will be performed only after someone from his family arrives, hospital authorities said.
"His family members have already been informed and they are on their way," a doctor at the hospital said.
"Prakash was an intelligent student," the doctor said.
Police have found some syringes and injections on the spot.
Prakash may have been suffering from depression due to some personal issue, however nothing could be confirmed as yet, sources said.
