Akram Khan was arrested on a tip-off near Ashram Chowk with 28 semi-automatic pistols.

A member of a gang selling illegal firearms in various states has been arrested and 28 semi-automatic pistols seized from him, the Delhi Police said on Monday.
Akram Khan, 24, a resident of Mewat region in Haryana, was booked in a case registered under the Arms Act at the Special Cell Police Station.
The gang acquired the illegal firearms from Madhya Pradesh. Some of the seized firearms had 'Made in USA' mark on them.
Akram Khan was arrested on a tip-off near Ashram Chowk on the Ring Road around 10.45 pm on Sunday, a senior police officer said.
"The gang supplies illegal weapons in east and west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Akram Khan said he worked for Mufeed of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and Khursheed of Bharatpur in Rajasthan," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) PS Kushwah said.
He said Akram Khan was given a commission of Rs 1,000 on each firearm sold for prices in the range of Rs 30,000-35,000.
