Protesters deflated the tyres of a bus that was meant to take him to Mandir Marg police station after they were detained this afternoon during the protest march.
Arvind Kejriwal told protesters to disperse after his release. He said, " We have proved our point. It's time now to disperse peacefully."

Activist Arvind Kejriwal was detained for the second time in the day by the Delhi Police for protesting without permission. In an attempt to stop Mr Kejriwal and his supporters from entering high-security areas of the capital, the Delhi Police retorted to baton charge, tear gas and water canon.


Arvind Kejriwal detained again by Delhi Police today for protesting without permission. After his detention, Mr Kejriwal said, "We had two motives today; firstly, people have understood that BJP and Congress are together as far Corrupt practices are concerned, and secondly to expose the corrupt practices and the Dictatorial nature of the UPA government. The police must understand that it is their moral obligation to support us in this fight against corruption."

Arvind Kejriwal, who was leading the anti-graft protest march, has been detained for the second time today.
Members of India Against Corruption and supporters were stopped at Tughlaq Road by police. Water canons were used to disperse the crowd. Police resorted to baton charge, fired tear gas shells on protesters at the Teen Murti Marg.
The members of India Against Corruption, along with around two thousand supporters, are moving in three groups towards the residences of the PM at 7 Race Race Course Road, Congress President Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath and BJP President Nitin Gadkari at Teen Murti Lane.

Mr Kejriwal slammed the government for the crackdown on protesters this morning. He says the protest will continue according to plan. The anti-corruption group will continue their protest outside key political leaders from 12 noon today.
After his release, activist Arvind Kejriwal said, "The Congress and the BJP hold so many protests. They are never stopped. Raj Thackeray takes a rally without police permission, thousands attend, but he is not stopped. He is in fact given police protection. Why are we being stopped from holding a peaceful protest."
