The incident took place on April 4 when 32-year-old marketing executive Siddharth Sharma was trying to cross a road near Ludlow Castle School and the speeding Mercedes hit him.

The Class 12 student who had allegedly run over a 32-year-old man with his father's Mercedes in north Delhi's Civil Lines last week, has been sent to police custody for two days. He had surrendered to the police yesterday.
The teen turned 18 years old on Friday -- four days after the accident. He was said to be behind the wheels of the car, which, going at speed of 80 km an hour, hit marketing consultant Siddharth Sharma. In CCTV footage, the young man was seen flung 10 foot into the air -- there was no sign of the driver trying to swerve or slow down.
The teen, the police said, had come to the court with his lawyers to surrender. His advocates had moved a bail plea, but the court rejected it, saying it was a matter for the Juvenile Justice Board.
The police have also arrested the man who claimed to be the actual driver of the Mercedes at the time of incident but backtracked after knowing Siddharth Sharma had died. He was charged with providing false information.
The driver and the teen's father, who was arrested on Friday, were produced before a court and granted bail. The boy's father has been charged with abetment to culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Last year, the teenager had been fined thrice - twice for over-speeding and once for parking wrongly. The police said this was why he was accused of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. "The charge, cognizable and non-bailable, was slapped," news agency Press Trust of India quoted Madhur Verma, a senior police officer of the North district, as saying.
If found guilty, the teen - who was out to celebrate with friends after his Class 12 exams when the accident took place- will be confined to a juvenile home for two years and have to pay a fine.
Siddharth Sharma's family has asked that the teen be tried as an adult under the amended Juvenile Justice Act. Demanding justice, the family he should not "get away on a technicality".
