New Delhi: The decomposed body of an eight-year-old girl was found at a locked house in central
Delhi today and police suspect that she has been raped and murdered.
Two minors have been detained in connection with the incident while further probe was on, police said.
The house at Prem Nagar area of Patel Nagar had been locked for some time after the tenants of the owner had vacated it, police said.
The neighbours called the police today after a foul smell started emanating from the house. Police broke open the lock and found the body of the girl, they said.
The girl resides in the same area and has been missing since January 3. Her father works at a printing press.
