Misty Morning In Delhi, Minimum Temperature At 7.2 Degrees Celsius

New Delhi: The national capital woke up to a misty morning today with the minimum temperature being recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average.

There was shallow fog in the early morning hours, the MeT Department said. However, flight services were not affected at the Delhi Airport.

Visibility was at 800 metres at 8:30 am and 1,200 metres at 5:30 am, officials of the Safdarjung observatory said.

However, rail services were hit with 12 Delhi-bound trains running late while 47 remained cancelled as announced earlier.

Humidity was 84 per cent at 8:30 am. According to the department, the sky will remain partly clear through the day with the maximum temperature expected to hover around 22 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature had dropped two notches below normal to settle at 6.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 21.3 degrees.
