Monsoon Reaches Delhi, Brings Relief From Heat

The rainfall brought much needed relief from the soaring temperature in Delhi.

New Delhi: The monsoon finally hit the national capital on Thursday, after a delay of few days. The Met office has forecast constant rains in the next few days.

"Monsoon has finally hit Delhi and there will be constant rains for the next few days," Durai Swamy, scientist at India Meteorological Department (IMD), told IANS.

Earlier, the Met Office had forecast that the monsoon would reach Delhi by June 29.

The rainfall brought much needed relief from the soaring temperature in the city.

Meanwhile, the monsoon has also further advanced into some parts of Uttar Pradesh, parts of Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan.
