New Delhi: Some parts of Delhi witnessed light rains today bringing down temperature three notches below average at 30.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast more rains on Thursday.

"The skies will be partly cloudy tomorrow (Thursday) and parts of the city will get rain," said an official of the India Metrological Department (IMD).

Delhi woke up to a pleasant morning today due to overnight showers. The minimum temperature settled a notch below average at 25.3 degrees Celsius.

The weatherman said the city received 13.5 mm rain from 8.30 am on Tuesday to 8.30 am today. The maximum and minimum humidity levels were 97 and 77 percent, respectively.

The city received heavy showers on Tuesday which led to traffic snarls which choked parts of the city and bordering regions. However, no jams were reported in the city today, according to the Delhi Police traffic.

Since the monsoon's arrival in June, Delhi has received 484.5 mm of rain, 40 percent more than average.
