New Delhi:
A multi-agency mock drill was conducted in the premises of Delhi's Metro's Patel Chowk station today to check preparedness in tackling situations of stampede or medical emergencies.
Personnel from Delhi Police, CISF, DMRC and disaster management teams took part in the morning hour drill.
Teams were also kept on standby at Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat, the preceding and succeeding stations, metro sources said.
"The drill was essentially a test case to see preparedness in cases of stampede or medical emergencies or how to deal with them," sources said.
Train services in metro's Yellow Line (line 2), where Patel Chowk station falls, were not affected, a metro spokesman said, adding that passenger movement was smooth as well.
