New Delhi: Father of Rajesh Talwar's attacker claims the culprit cannot be held responsible for his actions. But the way Utsav planed the attack has made investigating officers doubt whether he is actually mentally disturbed.
He has also confessed that his next target would be an accused in the Varanasi blast, said senior official with Ghaziabad police.
Asked to comment about police's observation, SK Sharma retorted: "Ghaziabad police chief is not a medical expert. We have everything to prove that Utsav is not mentally stable."
"Utsav was staying in Delhi and entered the court premises posing as a journalist. He had enquired from the reporters several times about Rajesh Talwar. He bought the butcher's knife from Delhi. We are interrogating him to know the purpose of his act," said Raghuveer Lal, SSP Ghaziabad.
"Being a fine arts student, he loved to sketch. He could be spotted in a comfortable place around the campus, sketching or taking photographs," said one of his college friends.
