New Delhi: It's the third day of the New Year and Delhiites are yet to see the sun properly. It was a foggy and chilly morning in the capital on Tuesday with the minimum temperature settling a notch above average at 7.9 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast a foggy day with chilly winds.
There was dense fog in the morning with visibility around 100 meters.
"A light blanket of fog will envelope the city through the day accompanied by chilly winds," an IMD official told IANS.
"The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 19 degrees," the official added.
However, on the runway the visibility is around 1000 meters. Hence, flight operations have been unaffected and remain normal. In the coming few days, the minimum temperature is likely to drop.
