Nippy morning for Delhi, temperatures drop by two notches

New Delhi: A light mist enveloped the national capital early today, signalling that winter was just around the corner. The minimum temperature was a nippy 14.9 degrees Celsius, two notches below the average of this time of the season.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast a chilly evening ahead. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around the 30 degrees Celsius mark.

"A light cover of mist enveloped the city early morning. The day will be clear but late evenings will be chilly for the next few days," an IMD official said.

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, four notches below average, while the minimum was recorded at 16.4 degrees, a notch below average.
