New Delhi: A 63-year-old woman on Sunday was found murdered and Rs 10 lakh in cash missing from her house in south Delhi's Lajpat Nagar area, police said.
Vimla Ahuja's son found her body lying in a pool of blood at the first floor of their residence at about 4 pm.
The woman, who ran a shop in the area, was apparently hit with some blunt object on her head, said a senior police officer.
Her son told police that Rs 10 lakh in cash, which were kept in a locker in her room, were also found missing, he said. A case has been registered under relevant sections and investigation is underway, the officer added.
