New Delhi:
With a spurt in incidents of crime in the area, outer Delhi is proving to be a tough precinct for city cops. On Sunday night a man was murdered over a petty issue in Rohini.
Two days later, bike-borne assailants shot and killed a youth in Narela area. A senior police official said that the deceased was identified as Sushil, a local. Police is suspecting that one of his neighbours could be behind the incident.
"Sushil recently got married. On Tuesday afternoon he had come to the local market along with his wife for shopping, when two armed assailants on a bike attacked him and fired at him. Sushil sustained bullet injuries and fell on the ground writhing in pain," said the official.
Hearing the commotion, passers-by rushed to Sushil's rescue. The attackers left their bike and fled while firing in the air. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead. According to Sushil's wife, one of the attackers was their neighbour.
Police said they have lodged an FIR of murder and a manhunt has been launched to nab the killers.
