Residents of Delhi woke up to partly cloudy skies today with minimum temperature settling at 15.6 degrees Celsius while light showers are likely to occur later in the day.
According to a MeT official, the minimum temperature was registered 15.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above season's average, with relative humidity of 96 per cent at 8:30 AM.
Safdarjung and Lodhi Road observatories recorded a 0.2 mm of rainfall. Palam, Aayanagar and Ridge weather stations did not report rainfall, the official said.
He informed that visibility was at 500 metres at 5:30 AM and the same dropped to 400 metres three hours later.
"Skies are likely to remain cloudy during the day and light rains/thunder showers are expected to occur towards evening or during night. Maximum temperature is likely to hover around 24 degrees Celsius," the official added.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 15 degrees Celsius.
